Default thinking about getting some TEA heads

i have a 02Z with ARH 1 7/8" headers, ARH 3" ORX, vararam cai / powerduct and ECS big n/a cam (unk specs). The car makes 428/365 now and i am looking to do a set of TEA heads. Their heads really fit my budget and i am on their webpage looking at the ls6 head options. For a street and open track car which heads would best fit? Maybe the stage 1.5 or stage 2?

I'd give them a call and discuss your goals with them.

I was gonna get my 243's done last year by them. From all I've researched, you cant go wrong with TEA stage 2 LS6 heads with a 59cc mill. Especially with the size of cam you have. Power should be within 10 hp or even less than the TFS 215cc. Some guys have even seen virtually identical dyno numbers. Although the TFS 215's still go a little quicker on the track, if you're a 1/4 miler.

Go with the stage 2. Their LS6 heads are proven. I've never had a set of heads from them that didn't produce on the track and the dyno.

They are the only company from which I'd consider getting stock casting heads done. I've gone down that path in the past with another forum vendor (Livernoise) and the results were terrible.

Might want to consider picking up an RPS clutch with the big sale on right now. You'll need it with the extra power. I love my BC2.
