You know,, it's a sad day when a man sends another man/vendor money for goods and they don't show in a timely manner...Or even at all... which is my case... both items supposedly sent earlier in the week.. one from a vendor, one from an individual.. one has tracking numbers, one did not... one with "said" tracking numbers show to have arrived.. the other... he said she said... BOTH used USPS! So what do you do???
I'll just bitch to you guy's.... I'm sure i am not the only one!
I have recieved SEVERAL items in the past two weeks from USPS with NO issues... Oh well, i guess i'll just continue to live the dream...
I was waiting for a timing chain fed ex the other day, I was home and they didnt ring the bell just left a note saying I missed it, never came the next day and finally left it on the 3rd day....... so yeah I understand
My friend just gave me a Breitling watch (over $3k value) for free because it was sent to the wrong address and three months after insurance paid for a new one, the original finally showed up (the people actually tracked my buddy down to return it. don't see that too often).
Hey, I'll gladly benefit from the postal systems error
OP, did you pay with Paypal? Maybe you can file a dispute and get your money back.
i bought some tires online that came through fedex. after a week i still hadn't gotten them so i checked my tracking number and it said they were delivered 2 days prior. I had been home that day and never heard the bell ring. I live in a small 2 bed apartment with 2 dogs that bark when they hear the bell, so it would be very hard to miss. it turned out they left them down at the leasing office. they didn't even try to deliver them to me or even leave a note saying they left it at the office. both usps and ups leave a little paper that says they came and where they left it. annoying
I hear ya, I had a S/C kit left on my front step for an entire day, even though it indicated that a signature was required.....that's like $8K worth of parts sitting on the side of the road for a day, and I live in NYC!!!!!
Fedex ground sucks. The drivers are owner operators and loose on residential deliverys so they take the quick way out. Use UPS. They get paid by the hour and don't care if they need to make a little effort. .
I recently purchased something from CF member in Texas. It went to Maine before heading to final destination in TN. The same week (week before Christmas) I ordered something from CF member in OK. It went to CA before reaching TN. Couldnt believe it!!!
good screen name!

Hmm....... apparently the people who tracked down your friend to return the watch, have more integrity than you & your friend.......
Been waiting for a UPS delivery (new seat foam bottom), it has been delayed twice (total 2 days) due to weather (Maryland). We had a bad snowstorm lately, so it seems reasonable.

I had the opposite thing happen...Ordered a set of hardened pushrods for a Camaro I was working on. As most "car guys" know, the 16 pushrods come in a box the size of a box of pencils.
I live in "the burbs", and my front porch is 85 feet from the street. You can't see a package if you had binoculars!! UPS wouldn't leave this tiny box, because it needed a signature. I called them and asked them how, EXACTLY, was I supposed to sign for them, as I actually have a job, and I'm at work all day!

If this happens here, the post office carrier will leave a note in the mail box, telling me I have to pick up the package at the post office. Luckily, they are open to 6 PM every day and until 4 PM on Saturdays.

That's cool, and UPS did the same thing with my pushrods...except the UPS terminal is about 26-28 miles from my house. I wasn't about to spend $4 worth of gas and an hour's time, to retreive a package I already paid $5-6 to have delivered to my door.
They asked for an alternative place for delivery, and wound up delivering it to my mother's house the following day. I was still pretty hot about that, because they had already delayed the delivery a day or two, for some silly reason, and then tacked on another day by taking it to my mom's house, when I was struggling to get the car back together and running...
I just wanted to rant about, the fact I spent 6 plus hours cleaning the vette before winter to bring it to showroom quality, winterized it the whole deal. For my girl’s car breakdowns yesterday, so had to drive it to the office today...and they are calling for rain in....come on the one day I have to drive it in the last 3 months it’s going to rain. (It’s never seen rain ever in the past 7 years)
The United States Postal Service is useless when it comes to tracking numbers being worth a crap.
for what it's worth (and i don't work for either, i'm just a customer) i get great service from my fedex ground folk and better than the post office, but nothing to write home about service from UPS, not to mention that at least in my area, fedex is very customer service oriented as far as their drop off locations, and their hours and tracking information. that's just been my experience for the past 5 or 6 years at least. i used to use UPS exclusively, but gave up on them after i had to wait in one of their customer pick up areas for almost an hour and a half (after their regular hours and was only allowed to wait because i was in line when they locked the doors)while they tried to find the package i had the "failure to deliver" ticket with the bar code, my address, their tracking number, etc on that was left on my door when i got home from work. last time i used them and will even take the post office most of the times over them.
