I bought the stealth jl box new, still waiting for it to come in. I could have went the 12" route but I didnt want to worry about compatibilty, dimensions and how it will sound in that box. It is pricey but they are made for that box, I also like how it looks. I want it to look clean and as stock as possible, people put subs for just bass, I want sound. Ill let you guys know how it turns out. Im going to use a fosgate amp I had pushing 3 jl tens sitting in the garage.

C5 Audio System Upgrade
I'm new to Corvette Forum and a new corvette owner. Am wanting to upgrade my stock audio system to a more modern, better sounding system. I'm not "woofer happy" as I enjoy just good easy listening music. Any help would be appreciated. I've looked at several ytube videos about replacing door speakers and everyone seems to have problems. Thanks.

This is a 4 year old thread... so we aren't really hijacking.
It's simple to upgrade with a KIT from Dennis at Double D Mods... you can get Kicker, Pioneer, or Polks.
You can also upgrade with an adapter to play bluetooth... Dennis has the adapters for that as well...
It's all just plug and play but, a nice upgrade for the money...

I realize the age of the thread, but was wondering if anyone had talked about this recently. Double D Mods seems like it has more than just audio upgrades. Thanks for the info.

Melting Slicks
this summer i installed pioneer head unit, Focal Access 165 AS components in the doors, rockford 2 way in the rear, JL 10w3v3 in a custom box for the rear center with two JL amps JX400/4d & JX500/1
the system sounds pretty good sound quality is great clear and clean that 10" sub makes classic rock sound amazing and can turn it up when playing rap and make the car next to me shake lol
