Well, the wife and i were leaving the base and as I was going out and a Red C6 was driving in. I saw my comrade in arms driving by and gave him a steering wheel salute. My wife asked me, if i knew the guy, I said no, but since he is a vette owner, he can't be all that bad

I have only one question. Are you weird?
We salute commissioned officers and MOH winners, we don't salute vettes, we wave at them, unless of course the driver is a commissioned officer, then we both salute and wave.

My wife actually found our first one(my 69),,,and after a hot summer trip to Bowling Green in it(a BB with no A/C) encouraged me to get a newer one WITH A/C,,,hence the 00 FRC!! She understands the wave,,and helps out when we go to things like Fun Fest,,and waves to the ones we pass

My wife is used to waving at others when we are on my motorcycle, so she gets the whole "brotherhood" thing. Since it was a long time between vettes for me, I wasn't sure if the vette "brotherhood" and waving were still happening when I got mine last month. But, so far, 3 other vettes I passsed or pulled up to all waved. Good to see some things never die.
