Getting more UMMPPHH
CAI,Headers,Exhaust,Tune.
Buy headers used for $700/800
Exhaust Used for $400-800 depending on what you get
CAI for $300
Tune for $500
Should get you around 350rwhp if you are a M6, 330rwhp if you are a A4.
And oh yeah IBTL

)With these said mods to your Vette you should be able to put down 350+ RWHP to the ground and pull a similarly modded GTO (they are much heavier) -
and a used C5 Z06 (LS6 manifold) can easily be had in the Parts section for $300.
You could also add to the list:
(1) MSD Wires
(2) NGK TR55 Plugs gapped at 55
(3) Ported and Polished Throttle Body
The tune is the critical part, once all is bolted on then the 'DYNO' Tune will come and make all the parts flow together (maximize the combo)!
Now once you are ready to move up in power, I suggest going to Forced Induction as another BOLT ON option (yes it is truley a bolt on) -
Case in point - friends stock C5 Coupe with same mods listed above and 12 PSI of B@@ST and Meth injection makes 559 RWHP - Forced Induction done correctly will last a long time - again it is all in the tune!

Do Not spend enormous amounts of money, go to the Parts For Sale section here on the Forum and get the things you need for a 1/3 of the price

Thanks,Matt

So my question is, aside from the fact of never ever showing off in front of another GTO, how can I keep this from happening again? What engine mods can I do? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
Good post; a similar think happened to me also in a 2000 6 speed vert. I won't mention the car that seemed to accelerate past me ( OK, I will; an Audi a4 turbo) pretty sure his was an automatic and I did have a car in front of me. Needless to say he had a huge smile on his face; and a youngster to boot ( added salt to the wound).
Have added a cold intake system and will probably do an MagnaFlow crossover pipe, short shift kit and caggs, yet to be installed, maybe the new manifold that is mentioned above and a performance tune as soon as I can find someone to do it in Western, PA. Understand that from some members on this forum that a new cat back system won't raise horsepower just sound better????
