I've used State Farm on my DD's Corvettes and Street Rods for years. Great rates.

Default Insurance firms ?

Why do you want to change? If the carrier you have isn't all that great there are all sorts of insurance companies out there. Adam Boca at the national Corvette museum also handles insurance. I've always told people that insurance is there so you get something back after a accident or theft. But no matter how much you insure something, you never get any of your 'sweat equity' in return.

I'm with State Auto - have been with USAA, State Farm and Farmers and State Auto beat every one of them (some significantly) at my last renewal.

drivestwin, with you collection you do not want to be on a standard auto policy. You should have a Collector Car policy providing an agreed value. With multiple car you only pay liability on the first car and it will cover rest of the cars too.

Check out our website at 877.678.7626 or this weekend check out our site at www.ncminsurance.com and you will be able to put together a quote.

BTW: 100% of the commission goes to support the National Corvette Museum.

Thanks and I hope I have the opportunity to save you some money!

Adam Boca

Adam......just went to the web site and got a quote......WOW!!!!!!

I will be calling on Monday with all the info and I think we can do some business.

To all those that have collector cars.....check out the website. Easy and quick to use.

I am currently state farm paying $2550 and I was just quoted $1200. Crazy.

I love my state farm rep and wanted to keep my money local, but that is $100/month!!!!

Thanks for the reply Adam, talk to you soon!!!

USAA here. 2 C5 corvettes with full coverage costs me 900 a year. 31 years old with 1 point on my record(two speeding tickets within a year so i couldn't take driving school twice).

I use American Collectors to insure my 6 corvettes .. and have for I guess close to 20 years now....

Yes they all have the standard millage limitations (no problem with 6 cars however) zero deductibles, 500 spare parts coverage, agreed upon stated value... yada yada

I will continue to use them for 2 reasons...

1. CHEAP... (less the a grand a year total)
2. Excellent service on the one and only claim I ever had ....

The nice thing is that when I owned 5 Corvettes and a 68 Chevelle and went out and purchased a new Vette in 1998 they accepted the brand new one because I was a "collector" and waved the normal requirement that any car had to be 15 years old before they would insure it...

Like someone said you only get hit for 1 or 2 cars for liability coverage the others cars do not get charged a penny for liability ...

Only Bad thing ...They use their own adjusters (and all of them have huge territories but are all "car guys" It took 4 days for an adjuster to drive down from New York State to see my car in Maryland.....

He however was a Mopar Guy who understood that I NEEDED the correct parts to make the repairs...

Entire process was painless and hassle free ... They earned my continued business...

Bob G.

Currently have 64 72 76 79 88 and 98 Corvettes in the garage ..

State Farm has been good to me.
01 Corvette (Dailey Driver) $46.01mo {full coverage on all}
05 Vue Redline -----" ----- $42.36 "
47 ****** (pleasure full value) $12.98mo
65 K10 ----------- " -------- $15.75 "
01 Silverado K2500HD ------- $37.40 "

Have compared and not found better

Grundy, Haggerty , or Adam at NCM. All of these are agreed value policies, and not about premium , it's about protecting the collector investment and you my friend are a collector. Have your DD's somewhere normal, the collectors will get hammered by the traditional carriers if there is a total loss. Many on forum and this thread compare better as what they are paying a year for all of their coverages, it is a night and day different policy as per definitions of coverage and perils.

Thanks so much for all the advice.....I just get sick and tired of my rates going up each year without having any claims.

The home policy went up 31% this last year alone. Shopping around has taught me that I should have considered other options long ago.

Now lets all hope we never need to use it!!!

I don't have State Farm but the newspaper quotes State Farm
Home Ins wanting a 25% increase in rates AFTER they just got
a 25% bump last year PLUS they are kicking old time customers
from state farm coverage. They don't deserve auto ins. business.
I could say more but I don't want to bore...............
Try USAA Ins...................Cheap!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
