Default Electrical Question

Car-2001, I have the PCM at East Coast for a tune (nice folks) and put my LEDs in front, halos in rear and hyperflash in the middle (from JW Motoring) this morning. Can I reconnect the battery to check my work and see these cool looking halos operate without creating an electrical nightmare because PCM in removed? Thank you for time.
It is killing me!

Hmmmm, I wouldn't, Also if your radio is stock and has the red light flashing security, I hope you have the code or your radio won't work.

I wouldn't do it either. I thought that before I read the above responses from my two esteemed colleagues.

I would tend to agree - wait until all the components to the car are back in the car before reconnecting the battery. I know it's tough, but waiting will be worth it. And the halos will look great.

You could do the trial and let us all know

Seriously, I wouldn't run the risk. The PCM sends so many commands down the data bus anything could happen. I suspect the DIC would light up like a Christmas tree.

It'll be worth the wait once the PCM is back.

i'm in the same camp. why chance it. i would guess that it would be more harmful than not and cause some electrical problems somewhere else perhaps. not worth it IMHO

Got my PCM back from ECS on Wednesday go to start the car to check out my mods.... where are the keys? I have to hide them, my father inlaw likes to come over and play, can't take any chances with PCM out. I am real bad about putting something where I won't forget and later not having a clue. I finally found them in with the oil jugs. I have got to say those halo's from JW Motoring are even better in person. Thoses things are great! I put red cove lights on too, looks neat. Thanks guys for your advice in my time of indecision, I do wonder what would have happened. Thanks again!

Oh man it's a good thing you didnt!!! The car will self destruct in ten seconds!!! just kidding

I have removed PCM's and turned the key on to test other items, you will get some funky stuff going, but nothing detrimental. The dash will say "no comm".

Thanks for the business, I hope you enjoy it!

Open an account on a place like photobucket.com, upload your pics to that site. It will then give you a "directlink" which you copy to the clipboard with a ctrl "c", then come here and touch the little picture icon in the message you are composing. You'll see the http:\\ just touch that, then ctrl "p" it into there.

Patience - play it safe and wait.

It will work but for me, I'd wait and enjoy the fruits of you labor with peace of mind
