Default My very first vette

I've wanted a vette vert my whole life, but just never pulled the trigger. I've been going back and forth between two differant cars. 1 was a 01 Red/black top with several mods. Headers, cold air, exhaust, cam, cold air hood. Way too fast for me, though. 2. 99Silver/black top all stock except for wheels, cat back magna flow. 99 was in pretty good shape, needs a left door module and visors. I'll pick it up thursday, can't wait. I've always had Trans Ams, still have the 77 that I bought in 1980, only has 59000 miles on it now. I just sold my 92 Grand Am tube chassis drag race car, 650hp 406 sbc in it and bought this vette. Man am I excited, and I'm 61 years old. Just like a kid in a candy store. Now if the da-ed snow would just go away.

I am 53. Over 5 years into owning my Vette now. Never gets old, even as I do! Best money I ever spent that wasn't spent on my daughter!

You're never too old to own a Corvette. I was 58 when I got my first one (a 95 coupe). Now I'm 68 and have a beautiful Pewter 99 coupe. My next one will be a Z06. Good luck and enjoy the ride.

Congrats! I just got my 02 coupe in November and had to garage it after three weeks because of the crap whether. Temps are going up this week and the roads are getting better but still a lot of salt on them but might get it out this weekend. Enjoy your Vette and enjoy this forum. Ride with pride and wave.

Welcome to the club!!! I was in my early 50s when I got my first one(my 69 shark that I still have),,and was about 60 when I got my C5!! With your experience with the drag car,,I'm surprised you found the modded 01 too much!! A word of warning,,, these cars are addictive!! Once you start driving,,you don't want to stop!!Get out and drive it,,,,and ENJOY!!!!

Wellcome friend! I'm an old drag racer myself and a long time Vette owner. You will "LOVE" this car! I am 63 myself and feel it but driving my Vette sure makes me feel younger
Good luck with your new car, Dave
