So my C5 has been at the dealer since Tuesday and they did allot of work on it. Fixed the TPMS, drivers easy access seat, rear view mirror, passenger door speaker "popping", and driver's seat would not move forward all the time - erratic. I pick it up today and everything seems to work great!
Get it home and clean the calipers and paint them and put the skip shift 1-4 on the trans. Take it out for a run and 20 min into the run I notice my coolant temp gage pegged out!!! I check the temp on the dash and it shows XXX. My oil temp was good 220 degrees. So I stopped and got gas and the seat does not move. Guess the easy access feature is not working again! WTF REALLY I cannot stand fixing something and it crapping out again plus more. Anyone have any problems like this?
With those issues why did the Stealership have it for so long? They've had it for over three days and sort of fixed the TPMS, seat, mirror and replaced the door speaker?

Short story about dealership repairs. 1995, I bought an Impala SS. Rattle coming from the rear trunk area. Under warranty so I take it back, they tell me it was the metal shield around the gas tank and all is good. Months later same problem, I crawl under car, they fixed the problem by using double sided carpet tape to hold the shield to the tank! I discovered on the Impala SS forum that many cars left the factory without all the screws installed in the shields. The dealer knew or should have known but elected to take the easy way out. Fast forward 5 years, I go to same dealer and lease a new Z71 truck for work. They want to introduce me to the GM, the parts mgr, and finally the service mgr. The service manager says If I can ever be of any help let me know. I relate the above story to him and then tell him if I ever have to bring the truck in would they please not use double sided tape to make the repairs. You know where this is going don't you? Sure enough I have a noise coming from the front of the vehicle it's under warranty so I take it in. Pick it up and they tell me it was the plastic cowl vent cover under the wipers that was causing the noise. Next time I'm washing the truck what do I see??? Double sided carpet tape peeking out from under the cowl cover!!!
My point is they don't find the the problem they just try to find a quick remedy to mask the problem and get your money.
PS The dealer never said .oh I'm sorry let me make this right for you either. I still have the Impala and I put the dam little sheet metal screws in myself.
I guess you just need to talk over what they did to fix the problems. Some of those snags need new modules/parts. Others may have been fixed by adjustments. New modules should fix a problem and I'd be mad if it failed immediately. If the seat issue is an electrical connector problem maybe they didn't get it right. It obviously worked when you picked up the car so find out what they did to fix it. I don't normally defend dealers but if I'd been fixing a seat problem I might not have been surprised if I needed to play with it a few times before I got it right. The connector is clipped under the seat. The connector can get dirty, is vulnerable to snagging as the seat moves and the wires can get damaged easily.
I guess cars of this age have small issues. That sounds to me like the previous owner didn't fix any problems. Hopefully, now the dealer has had a purge you'll run without problems. Best of luck because this really is a great car.

Well I am sure the previous owner did not fix any of the problems, but I bought a warranty because of the age of the car and I would be beating on it. The tire sensors was just an old code in the computer. The seat they replaced the seat adjuster assembly and reset all stops and memory. The other item on the seat they replaced the seat control module. Now I did disconnect the battery before I installed the skip shift mod only because the instructions said to. Could simply disconnecting the battery cause some of this? I did not short it out on anything, still has the plastic covers on the wire lead ends. Any ideas would help greatly. If I can reset the coolant temp myself please let me know how. Thanks forum peeps.
You do have to save your seat postion by pushing the button and holding it. Yes you lost memory from disconnecting battery. Coolant temp sounds like the sensor went bad. They usually do this after a trip to the shop because they were ignored and want some attention too.
