Default Painted my wheels black

Well I figured I'd update you guys and let you know that the paint job has totally held up and I haven't had any chips or flaking. I'm kinda surprised myself.

I decided I wanted to change the look of my wheels so I painted them with duplicolor paint. The pics are from my cell and I still have the Chrome lugs for now. I went with semi gloss, its hard to take pics of but shows more detail in the wheel

Getting ready to do this for a buddy soon. Did you use sand paper to rough the surface?

looks nice. I've been debating doing the same thing. Did you clear over the semi gloss black? what clear did you go with?

I've tried to get shots from further away but they look like crap and you can't really see it very well. I didn't use any clear I used the duplicolor self etching primer and then duplicolor semi gloss engine ceramic engine paint because all I found locally was flat black and that's not what I wanted. Here is the best I can do for now, before and after. The fronts will be finished soon

Did you have to touch up any after the tires were mounted. How durable is that paint. Looks good!!

No the wheel shop was extra careful when they mounted them, as far as how durable the paint will be is yet to be seen, I've only put about 30 miles on them since I did it.
