I just sold factory tires, wheels and sensors off a 04 Corvette. I know the wheels and tires will work on a 99 but how about the sensors. What will happen?
May be cost effective FOBS are much cheaper and so are TMPM on a 2001 +

Just get the correct year TPMS for the car and be done with.
If he already had 4 TPMS from 2001+ the new reciever and FOBS are needed. Can be done but buying 4 older TPMS would be costly.
If the new owner tries to reprogram the TPS they wont synchronize with the RFA. When he goes into the reprogram sequence the horn will not honk so the procedure will hang up. He'll have his old pressures displayed from the previous wheels.
If the new owner has a 99 he'll need to have his 99 TPSs fitted to his new wheels.
