Default Automatic brushless car wash Damage

MY 04 Vette was hit while sitting in a parking lot of my daughter's gymnastic bldg Dec 3. The lady was nice enough to come and tell me she clipped the front DS fender and bumper. She had State Farm and they repaired it at my Local GM body shop. Well today I took it to this automatic car wash that I have used since they 1st opened it in 09. It uses microfiber equipment and have ran my car though it at least 100 times with no problems. well today when it went through I hard a loud pop on the windshield and then my breakaway mirrors was pushed and the door was pushed. Came out and park in the vac area got out to dry car looked at windshield and it was cracked in the DS corner where our state inspection stickes goes from the cowl up halfway to the middle. There was a 13inch area what looked like a buffer burn, DS head light bucket which was new was pushed down and a rub on the new bumper. Went and told the maanage/owner he came to look and said there was no way his equipment did that. Said the buffer area looked like it was done with a high speed buffer at body shop then they covered it up with a wax and the soap uncover it. I said what about the windshield, he replied that they probably put it in a bind when they removed it to put new fender and bumper on. I said they did not mess with the hood or windshield because I had called the body shop manager who is a good friend of mine. So called police and since it was a private lot business they gave me the same form to fill out when it was hit in the pkg lot. Have any of you ever had a vehicle damamged in one of these so called brushless washes? I knnow I should not have brought it through there but I have used it for over 2 years never a problem.

Well that sucks... not to rub it in but your manual does say NOT to run it through a car wash.

Never experienced that before - BUT I would suspect that the equipement in the carwash would have your paint left on it

Did they inspect the carwash equipment?

Do you think you might of been over to far to one side?

Thanks,Matt

Sorry about the damage - but I never use an automatic car wash for my car. Hope things work out for you.

Get it fixed and take them to small claims court.

But really......what do you expect?

Shouldn't matter what kind of car you take through but you'll probably have to take them to small claims like the other poster said. Hope you are successful in re-cooping something from this

Pic of the damage on the bumper?

Also, pretty much every automatic car wash has cameras installed... So there you go.

Sorry to hear about your car wash troubles.

Never take my C5 thru a car wash, have stopped taking any of my cars thru the darn things. Last time I went thru one, the darn brush arm smashed one of my tail lights on my SUV

Wand wash, and/or two bucket wash for me
