Getting new tire mounted
I need to have my new tires mounted and ballanced. Does any tire place do corvette tires? I am worryed about them messing up the chrome rims. And are the pressure sensors still reuseable?

I guess its down to the quailty of the tire shop but most should cope with runflats.
Make sure they unscrew the nut holding the TPS in the rim and drop the TPS inside before they take the tire off. The machine can damage the sensor otherwise.

Good advice. Most shops can mount and balance a Vette tire, but obviously some are better than others. If you have runflats, they are much harder to mount/dismount than the non-runflats and a shop may choose to not attempt it or will charge considerably more to do the work. Ask before you let them begin work.

Discount Tire, Tire Rack, it's not rocket science anymore, even Cadillac's and Kia's have TPMS and chrome rims are for everybody.

I went to Tirerack.com, select tires, enter zip code and research the recommended shops. I called all the shops and spoke with a few on the phone and chose from there. Worked out just fine. Not everyone had a wheel balancer that could handle the 305/30/19 rears.
