Breathless performance vortex air filter

When I purchased my 03 z06 the car already had the Breathless Performance vortex airbox on it. When I had my car on a lift the other day, I looked at the airfilter. It is tiny, kind of looks like something that belongs on a Honda. I was wondering if anybody who is using this intake if they have tried it with a different filter. I find it had to believe it flows enough air for the engine. It just seems like the filters on different intakes are like 2-3 times the size. Just curious as to what some peoples thoughts are on this.

i too bought my car with one. it dyno'd well so i didn't change it. i believe it was 37X-is with slightly lower torque with only a Corsa Pace Car exhaust and a tune.

I've had one on for several years 8+. It's a proven design and has worked well. I haven't changed out the filter and use the one that came with the kit.

I purchased a C5 with this induction system. I wanted to know how to change tge filter and where to buy one. Any help?
