Back to forum once again; thanks for your help in advance:
Found a '75 Coupe, orig red/black; auto, PB, AC project car, details below:
-Good Strong motor, runs, idles well, decent comp, looks to have been rebuilt
-Good wheels(alum)/tires no checks, nice
-Interior decent, replace carpet, seats good, dash mostly good
Bad:
Lots of issues everywhere; name it, vaccuum, headlights, wipers, driver door sags, multiple gauges not working, tilt steering broke, ignition issues
-lots of surface and underbody rust, appears to be mostly surface, screwdriver test
-paints gone
-front and rear clips aftermarket relacements, rear is off a 78, I think
What's it worth? Owner thinks $4-5k; I'm thinking parts car, $2k
Barney
Hi Barny,
Even $2000 sounds like too much when I read your list of what it is, and what obviously needs, and then add in what it probabably and might need.
Regards,
Alan
By what I have seen sell for $5000 I would bet the seller is not far off. There is always someone willing to take a cute orphan puppy home and feed it. He would have lots of takers to choose from at your price level or he can place the ad for retail & see who comes with a leash.

Kind of sounds like a project car that the seller put some $$ into and found it might have a bad birdcage. People can buy a vette, be all excited, fix a few things, then find out is has structural problems. Beware.

I'm not sure where you are, but in my area, running/driving Corvettes sell for around what he's asking. $2K parts cars usually have giant chunks of fiberglass missing and need to be winched up onto a trailer to be hauled away.

While some absolutely clueless people out there skew the curve a bit, thats a $1500 car.
