The "stretch" bras work well but are limited by the thickness of the material and the penetration ability of the nylon.

I purchased the SpeedLingerie bra for MUCH more than $99 but did so because of the fitment, color and protection.

Bottom line: get what you can afford and what you feel meets your needs.

I have the nylon bra. They don't hold up well and don't offer much protection. The Speed Bra is nice but is a hassle to take on and off. I had my 96 GS done with the 3M invisible bra and it's the best alternative that I've seen yet. When done right it is almost invisible. The pattern availabe for the C5's and C6's are even better.

I have a nylon one for short trips say heading for the Pocono's, and I bought a GM front bra fron Gene Culley. Great guy and a great deal. I use the heavy GM if I'm going on a long trip. But the one shown here from Mid-America motorworks looks really nice. I have to lay my GM one out in the sur to get it soft enough to fit on, and since there's 6 inches snow that ain't gonna happen.

I considered the stretch bra but needed the vinly for long trips. In fact, just returned on a 250 mile trip & the bra did great. Actually, forgot it was on til I got out of the car. I liked this one because of the mesh on all openings. Caught a lot of bugs in that mesh but guess where they would have been without it? So far, so good.

My recommendation - get the GM bra from Gene at gmpartshouse.com. Cost is about $80, it fits great, offers very good protection, easy on/easy off and does not do any damage to the paint (have never had a paint issue and I've been running the GM bra on my cars for well over 10 years). The only real disadvantages I've found with the vinyl bras are they take up more room than the nylon ones (storage wise) and I won't run them in the rain. Other than that, I have absolutely no complaints against them.
