Revisited

and this is is after I installed the C5 Z06 rear brake duct

car was never lowered. The buyer got it I believe was a fair price well he got the mods for free technically but it had 20K miles for a 6 y/o car and I sold it for $23K even.
Then I replaced it with a 99 Dodge Viper that some may call the clown shoe car

pix were taken in front of my house

and in front of the sellers house in Florida

I bought it for $35 K with 15 K on the clock.
Here are a couple of comparison notes;
1. I miss my C5 because of the affordability and vast availability of mods in comparison with the Viper but I do want to keep the Viper as stock as possible.
2. Because I replaced my shocks with C6 Z51 -it made my ride stiffer on the C5 and basically about the same as the Viper - so ride comfort is pretty much the same and I don't mind the roughness of the ride;
3. I get looks from other drivers when I had my C5 but I get more attention now with the Viper not only from other drivers but from cops as well

4. The C5 can make a lot of power with the proper mods but the Viper obviously have a lot more right out of the box
All in all; I would not mind buying another Corvette but I still want the
C5 because IMO - it has a timeless look plus the pop-up headlamps is still a cool feature for me.
I still lurk here once in a great whhile just checking and drooling some of the mods that are still coming out for the C5 and sometimes wish that I still had my old car.
Those are the SLP spoilers -once sold by Mid-America Motorworks; I believe them to be back on the market but not 100% sure. They were taken off the market because of low sales volume then C5 owners started a group purchase that made SLP make them once more but it has been about 2 years since I've heard about them being back on the market.

But the new owner wherever he may be sure did not mind when he looked at the car and paid cash right away the next day - I guess he knew he was getting the car for a steal.

and you'll always be welcome
