Yeah, that's about how long it took me to install mine as well. The carpeting is much nicer and some of the trim pieces were hard to get on because of the extra thickness. Also anyone doing it in the future be sure to cut some extra around the seat track bolts. Those trim pieces are almost impossible to get back on if you don't.

I had some trouble with a few pieces. Not too bad. I had to put some spacers on the mounting clips for the trunk storage lids.
I'm still working on the console and bezel area but I have been driving it some and I can review the insulation kit now.
As far as noise? Slight improvement, but remember this is a convertible and I didn't expect much there.
Heat insulation? AWESOME! I feel very little heat transfer through the tunnel. I expect a candy bar will last much longer in the console now!
And the interior does feel much more plush and comfortable. Overall- two thumbs up. Was fairly easy to install and has accomplished my goal. I would do it again.
Well, there have been many hiccups along the way, but I'm almost done. The interior is only awaiting the main bezel which is being wrapped in 2 tone leather. The first shop did all the parts but couldn't get the main bezel right, it's very tricky to wrap the center area with leather. It wasn't good enough. So I took it to a second shop and it should be done any day now. Other than that, the interior is done (until I feel like a few more mods!)
The exterior (wheel, rotors, screens) would be done except one of my MRR wheels arrived with a slight bend. A replacement is on the way. I have the rear wheels and Hankooks on right now,but no pics of the wheels yet. Here is the bent wheel rim, I have detailed that experience in a separate thread (MRR wheels and bad customer service)
What did you use on your radio bezel to make the custom ipod slot out of the cup holder?
Well, Dennis at Double D made the bezel for me. It was apparently pretty hard to understand exactly how I wanted it. He actually bought an iPod dock and glassed it into the bezel but it was too high (same as the original cup holder lid) and I wanted it recessed as much as possible. He had left the part of the dock that can be changed uninstalled sonI could choose the correct adapter.
Well, the adapter is the only part I needed. I cut out the whole docking station he had fiberglassed/epoxied in. His work looked great- but again, too high. My iPhone would have blocked the hvac controls. So I cut the hole in the right shape, made a small cardboard form and wrapped it in fiberglass. I bought a cheap kit from Autozone. then I used bondo to smooth it all out. It looks ugly from the back! I also installed some small hoops in the bottom so that when I insert the iPod cable I can safety wire it to avoid it popping out.
I finally got the bezel done. I'm very happy with it. I've never seen or heard about one done completely in leather like this, but if anyone else has done this (no paint in the center area) please chime in!
That last Pic shows the detail and tight seams required to make it fit. I shops have the entire interior back together this week. Later in the simmer I'm going to have a custom matching armrest cover made as well as door arm rest covers that will be bolted to the doorpanels to keep that area where the vinyl peels up in the corner down. That should finish off the interior for now...but like the title says- I'm bitten by the mod bug!!

I like the seats, the stock ones are just horrible. Especially the oak ones I have. I still want to do a couple more things to the engine like a cam and high flow cats then I would like to start cleaning up that nasty factory oak interior. I just wish I had the bones to afford it right now. Very cool seats bro.
