I have just read on another forum about purchasing gas with a debit card, Did we know that when we do this and at the end of the transaction if you do not hit the clear button after you ask for the reciept that your info. is still in there untill the next card is used. so if someone is in tuned to this they can just pick up the nozzil and pump gas, and your card will be charged. SO IT THAT CLEAR BUTTON. BLACK MATCH BOX (GINO) IT THAT BUTTON.

Thanks for the heads up but I doubt that is true. The next time you are getting gas, hang up the nozzle, don't hit the clear button, then wait a bit, pick up the pump and see if it will fill again. Something is wrong if it does.

Anyway, even if I don't think this is true, I will watch for it!

That's is if you pump your gas and then just walk away with out putting the pump hose back..................This signals the end of the transaction.
In other words, you hang the hose up, no on can come behind you....

Also you don't use the debit part of the card, but the CC part and you won't have the large hold put on your card.

Also, not really C5 related.

It might have happened many years ago but not these days. Lots of security protections in place within the software to prevent it.

Theres so many gas cards offering cash back...I dont know about you but I like to get cash back for my gas. forget the debit cards

what your car runs on something else? The next time you get gas, get your recipt, that should end the transaction right? But than go inside and tell the attendent that you did not get a recipt, see if they will print you one. If they do the info is still in there.
