Looks like I just got the popular passenger window getting stuck problem. I tried banging on the torx screw under the door handle to no luck. After reading success after success story I was hoping I could add myself to that list but to no avail. I get the classic relay clicking, no window working thing. Looks like a new door motor is in my future.
I have this problem right now as well. I believe my window regulator/motor needs replacing. At least it's stuck in the up position though! I ordered my replacement from here 150 shipped brand new: http://www.upanddownmainstreet.com/VetteRegulators.html
They even have a decent "How to" video for the install. I plan on installing this weekend.
Why are you banging on the torx screw? Most people will gently but firmly bang on the top of the window when pushing the down button.
Because all of the threads on this forum say to take off the oval shaped cover, put a screwdriver on the torx screw and hit it with a hammer while pushing the down button.
Have you checked the fuse yet? If the fuse is good and you aready said you hear the door control module relay click, pull the door apart and gain access to the motor's connector. Put a meter on the two wires for the motor and see if you get voltage there when you push the down button. If you do, then you'll need a window regulator assembly. They are about $200
What is the difference between the motor and the regulator. I noticed that parts houses just sell the motor but gmpartshouse.com has the motor and what looks to be a wire bracket thing listed. Hopefully since it started working I dont need to worry about it.
If you got it working, then don't worry about it. The motor and regulator is an assembly. There is a looped steel cable through the regulator itself, the rails and the motor. Getting the motor out of it looks like a daunting task to say the least. Its easiest and simplest to buy the whole assembly, stick it in, adjust and all done within about 30 minutes max.
