I, like most of you, got my c5 used. It had 18,000 miles on it by an owner who-I later figured out- was less than careful and certainly not thorough. Anyways check out what I found in the cd whil stripping out the interior. First pic is under the front left drivers seat, second in the lower trunk compartment.
Wow.
These are 5.7 "cop killers" as they are known. The ammo and guns are still legal but rare. These will most likely be outlawed someday. But, wow! I love to shoot, going today actually, but I keep better track of my munitions!
I had the same thing with my passenger side carpet under the seat. Think it might have been spilled coffee or something like that. Cleaned it thoroughly while installing my sound deadening. Nothing weird other than a few coins, pretty boring.
Don't know about tracers but they have two different tips...blue and black. My first thought was they were Nosler Ballistic Tips but they most likely won't come in different colors for the caliber. OP, what is the caliber of the shells? They look like 7.62 but might not be. Where did you buy the car?

Mine was kind of boring - didn't find anything when I took the seats out for new covers. Previous owner was obviously a guy that cleaned the car pretty thoroughly.

Strange find but not all that rare. Keep looking, maybe the pistol is stashed somewhere!
I test drove a used car that had 4 ashtrays that were all jam packed and they weren’t cigarette butts! I thought I would do them a favor with a little complementary detailing.

25 years ago, I bought a 78 Accord from a wholesale lot. Every inch of the interior was covered dog hair...you know the kind that you can't just brush off??? I mean it's like they were using the car for breeding dogs or something.
I had to remove the carpets and seat covers to be steam-cleaned. It came out great and the dog smell was totally gone afterwards.
When I got done, I drove that car for 3 years then sold it for $1100 more than I bought it for.
I bought mine used and hadn't realized the previous owner removed the cigarette tray insert to accomodate a phone system. Well for months I had been placing loose change in there and Chapstick. Started realizing that I kept loosing my Chapsticks - just assumed my wife had taken them. Fast forward a couple of months take the car to get a iPod hook up - installer calls me to bust my chops - asks me: You really like Chapstick, eh? There was four Chapsticks that had fallen behind the dash along with a bunch of change.
Cop killer bullets? No. They're just the type as the picture that was posted. Not armor piercing or tracer.
