There is no problem with clearance or loss of legroom or headroom with hoops. The only thing you lose is the ability to use a vettenett (air screen) if you wanted to later.

I'll also agree with several others. If you are not handy with a sharp blade and very maticulus (sp), get a pro to cut the carpet. You have no idea how bad you can make it look until you try.
ill be ordering mine next week and ill post pictures after i put them on!

One of the reasons I added my seat hoops is that I like how they fill in the space between the back of the seat and the deck lid. They are not functional roll-over protection, however at least they are real.
I don't get it. Why add these things since they really don't protect you and may even do more harm in a wreck.

well, for me everytime i get in my vette i dont drive like the roads are my racetrack. i go with the speed of freeway traffic and every now and then i open her up. i baby my car "almost" as much as i baby my wife . ive never rolled a vehicle in the 30 plus yrs since ive been driving and god willing dont plan on it. its a PURELY asthetic thing for me because i LOVE the way they look. i look at it as any other part i order or am going to order to enhance the looks of my vehicle. i am going with the RK Sports black powdercoat roll bars that affix behind my seat because they seem like the best ones and have the desired look im going for. it may not be for everyone, but its for me and at the end of the day as long as its making me happy thats all that counts!

bought mine from west coast corvette and am really happy with them. i agree that it is important to be very careful cutting the carpet and also suggest a professional do it for the cleanest look. i have an 04 CE convert and i really think the mod dresses up the car in an unusual way. the product quality of the west coast product is great and their service was also great. install is a piece of cake except for the carpet cut, hence my suggestion to get a pro to do that part. well worth the couple of bucks they will charge.
