C5 Hurst vs C6 hurst????

Just came back from their web site.
It appears to me that the newer style Hurst shifter will fit on to the
97-04 shifters box.
The way they have it listed, you would think that it wouldn't fit.
Just for comparrison. I have the newer style 09 Z06 shifter box on
my 03 Z.
I often switch up my C/5 Hurst shifter & the (angled) C/6 Z 06
(RSD SNAP) shifter, back & forth onto the C/6 shifter box.
The RSD SNAP shifter has the C/5 threads cut into the shaft to except
the C/5 *****.
I think the difference on the newer angled Hurst shifter is that the C/5 ***** will not fit onto the shaft?
So, from what I can tell. All you would need with the Hurst shifter is the C/6 ***** offered
