I do...I shaved them down cause they looked to wide for the C5 body and then I had them covered in that CF material and clearcoated...not everyone's cup of tea but thats OK...I like
Don't understand your question???? I'm unaware that there were any C5 splash guards available from GM. However, there are two different C6 splash guards. The C6Z06 splash guards which were only available on the rear of the C6Z06 and then the C6 splash guards which are much smaller and came on both front and rear. Someone on the forum used the rear C6 splash guards on the front of his C5 and the shaved down C6Z06 guards on the rear. I may have saved a link to the pictures of those. I'll look and post it if I can find it.
I know the thread you are talking about. He's a friend of mine.
I don't know if the C5 guards are GM or aftermarket but they are out there. I thought the question was self explanatory. I just wanted to see some on a red coupe.
I got the ones from BarryBum that he had on before he got the C6 guards. (see pics) I new they looked good on his blue, I just wanted to see the black ones on a lighter color like the yellow. My car is red and I think they will look pretty good after seeing the yellow C5.
Does anyone have the fronts they would like to part with??

Thanks to all!!
Your right! I think they will look good on red. I've ended up buying mine from MidAmerica. Do a search on their website under "splash guards". Their easy to find. They sell them in either just the front, just the rear or a discount on all 4. Buy the way, you'll find that the front ones do not like speed bumps. Over the last 5 years, I've had to replace both fronts due to speed bumps in parking lots that I could not avoid. Good luck and let us know how they turn out.

I think I'll pass on the fronts since they are prone to getting ripped off. I don't need that. Thanks for your input, I hope to get them on this week.

Very true. One thing about the fronts is they don't set low enough to keep the tire debris from sand blasting the side of the car but they sit low enough that when you break very hard the guard can come into contact with the ground. I put some on my 03Z and then went to an autocross where I was braking from about 65 mph to make a hair pin turn and I took the lower inch off from both front guards.
With the rears just make sure you can get the upper screw into the fender so it will hold. It sort of goes right into the fold of the fender and if you want to put something on the back side of the fender for the screw to screw into it is a very tight fit.
If you go with the C6Z style in the rear you may be better off.
On my 97 I used the plastic ones that look like a mud flap and they did an excellent job protecting the side of the car. I set the front ones low enough that they protected the sides although the tips tended to bend backwards over time. Since they were black they blended into the wheel well nicely on my TR coupe.

I love yours! They are the ones that inspired me to make a new set of the slim versions. I get people all the time asking me where they can buy a set.
