Default Long tube headers

I know this topic has been discussed numerous times, but what is the most reasonably priced set of long tubes for the z? I don't feel like spend a fortune on the either
I know everyone will say LGs or Kooks. But what else is out there that will put deccent numbers to the ground, I am very leary to go too cheap. Any help would be great.

Thanks in advance!

For cheap there is the OBX or similar, I have not seen them in person so I cant say on quality. The cheapest of the big name headers would be the LG street headers which are good quality.

I could be wrong but I believe Mid America Motorworks house brand is a "cheap" but pretty reliable header. A couple.of my car club buddies have them and no complaints. Also check out Ebay's automotive parts section. Hope this helps.

You go cheap, you may end up regretting it. Keep an eye out in the PARTS FOR SALE section, deals come up!

I honestly would not buy KOOKS, the install is to much of a PITA when others are so much easier. When you do it, get a x-pipe with it.

Good luck.

Go with Texas Speed headers. Mine were like 800 bucks and they made just as much power as the other headers.

Melrose, TPiS, Corsa, Borla are a few other names

I have TPiS on my car. Bought two sets of slightly used LG Pros and intended to install them each time. But some one offered me several $100 more then I paid for them so I Sold them each time.

I bought the OBX two years ago. 620 shipped. The welds look good and so far everything is holding up just fine. dyno'd 390hp

I'm comparing mine to other England Green header/vararam tuned cars by the same tuner on the same dyno. Also, compared it with the identical Mayhem II cam that was in my car and on other cars.

Yep, mine were 750 before shipping and installation was a breeze. Made great power to boot. Why pay more?

Cant really compare different headers unless they are on the same engine.
