Default Got bit by the mod bug (small build thread)

Hello all, I got hit hard with the mod bug recently and figured I'd share with everyone. I'm still working on assembly and waiting on parts here and there. My new mods consist of Corvette Guys projector headlights, high and low beam hid's, black bumper letter inserts for front and rear, LG street catted L/Ts, VIS carbon fiber cowl hood (in preparation for a S/C), and some new floor mats. I`ve been all week waiting and prepping for parts to come in and start installing. Hopefully soon I'll be taking a trip to VAspeed for a cam install and tune .

My current mods are full audio upgrade with a single din kenwood h/u with ipod/bluetooth, alpine pdx.5 amp, massive audio 10in sub, cerwin vega 6.5 components in the front and mtx 5.25 fill in the rear. I have borla quad tip stingers, and a vortex ram air intake, tinted windows, flush mount tails, and c6z rep wheels.

Here is the car as she sat the day I bought her in September of last year up till now. Enjoy and I'll update with new pictures as stuff comes in and I get stuff installed. I`m mid way in the headlight install I'll throw up some pics later on. Comments/Criticism/Suggestions are welcome.

First Wash

paint it black and make it low

Back to chrome wheels added black mirrors (most recent setup)

New Projector Headlights first fit bumper off still

I love the look of the c6Z wheels in black on your Z. Sounds like an awesome build! What blower are you going to run?

yours looks very similar to mine. i painted my front screens black though. i recommend it. it really finishes off the blacked out look and looks great with the blacked out corner light covers.

Thanks, I loved the black too just wanted a change next they are gonna be white . As far as the blower I've been leaning towards Magnuson, possibly kenne bell.

02z06Dave

The black screens look great, I really should do that since my front bumper is already off the car haha.

I didn't know they made a Kenne Bell SC for the ZO6. I know it is a great product for the 03/04 Cobra stangs though so I assume it is just as good for Vettes.

I have honestly never seen a KB Vette in person but like you said they really got it right on the 03-04 cobra (really all mustangs) so I assume that they make just a good a product for the vette. It just looks so natural under there though heres one on a 04 z http://www.vetteweb.com/features/vem.../photo_15.html.

Thanks IMXCITD

currently no front bolts (i do have a small amount of protection between the leaf and control arm), I got the Eibach kit so those bolts are in the rear although they are not maxed out there is a lot of room to go. I actually had the back a lot lower but my dad said my rear end was literally almost dragging the ground through normal road dips. The front bolts are about to go back in in a minute though because i'm tired of barely making it in my driveway without dragging the bumper. IMHO it looks great slammed but it rides like **** and I can't even go over a freaking acorn without hitting the front air dam.

Thanks! I just bought the Eibach Kit. I'm lowered all the way on stock bolts now and would like to go a little lower.

No problem, they should get you as low as you want.

Also Editing original post as soon as my pics upload to add more pics of new headlights initial fitment, still perfecting, they are close though. Once I'm done I'll get some pics of them on to show cutoff. Halogens are in for now cause I got the wrong hid bulbs... oh well. Thanks again everyone stuff keeps rolling in, gonna go for a small shoot later this week down by the river.

I have been considering selling my blood (one drop per order) to be used as a serum to aid in the prevention of mod fever.

haha they are certainly not for everyone. Thanks for the comment though. I personally think they will flow better with my new hood once I get it on, but for my taste and budget they work great and offer far better light output than the stock lights.

Love your car, but I hate the bugeyes, too. Maybe it'll look good with the new hood. Keep moddin'.

Thanks, assuming it turns out the way I picture it the new headlights will flow a lot better with the new hood, hopefully it will be on in the next week or two.
