Anyone slap an A6 in a C5 yet ?

My new DD is a 6 speed auto. For a little 4 banger, it flies.
I tried search but came up empty.

Nope.....haven't seen anyone post on this topic and my initial reaction is why you would want to do that in a vette.?

To get rid of the ****ty 4 speed in favor of the new 6 speed auto?
better MPG/acceleration. Seems to make sense

It would require a different harness, PCM, torque tube, shifter. I think.

Wiring harnesses, shifter(paddle kit) and PCM don't bother me... Torque tube modifications certainly got my attention.

Sounds like a heck of a project to undertake. I guess anything can be done if you have enough money, but I would think it just might cost more than the benefit you receive.

Totally cost prohibitive to accomplish. I read a thread where Rodney over at RPM transmissions won't even consider it. Among other things the wiring in the ca.r. Buss structure is totally different in the C6 meaning a near total rewire of the C5 to get to the new buss structure that the A6 requires.

I'm certainly up for a challenge but....

The PCM's in our Vettes do not have the peramiters to run the A6!

It would be an awesome luxury - especially for me and drag racing but it is somrthing that wont happen for the C5 due to the electronics.

There may be options when it cames to the software and electronics, the question is will it pizz off the PCM.
