Hi all, I have what I believe is a strange question but here goes. Some years ago when I had an 85 vette I seem to recall a kit that could be bought to make it easy to remove the rear pop up window. So, I am wondering if that lit might be available for my c5 as I think this would be great to have. I can only imagine what it would look like with both the top and the rear window off, Thanks for all replies

I have never heard of it but I'm sure the rear hatch will come off if you really want to do it.

Have not seen any kit to allow that to happen to the rear hatch glass. Don't think I would want to do that anyway - just wouldn't look right IMO.

I too had an '85, but I don't remember any kit like that. I do seem to remember a conversion kit that allowed you to remove the hatch and replace it with a kit that made the back area resemble a C3 up to the '77 body style, that was referred to as the sugar scoop back.

If you're referring to the C4 hatch conversion, ACI makes them. I don't think anyone makes them for a C5.

That is the kit I was referring to, it gives it the somewhat C3 look. Not to my taste however.
