Default Switchbacks LED lights?

Anyone ever have just the amber fail?
The white works, but no amber... after 3 yrs..
Interesting..

NO DRL amber, but the white is on & blinks when headlight are on..

Anyone else ever hear or see this?

Just thought its something new after all this time we've never seen yet.. hehe..

Yes, I had one fail after a couple of years. Ordered another set and replaced it. Took the old one apart and resoldered the resister and it seems to work. But, doubt if I will reuse it.

They lasted 3 yrs? That's pretty good. I had purchased some through one vendor, and I don't know if it was the manufacturer, or certain production lots, but I went through 3 switchbacks (2 amber fail, 1 white fail) within 6 months before purchasing a set from another vendor over a year ago, and haven't had any problems since.

While looking great, most of the LED bulbs are just not set to handle a power spike in the system. I haven't done it, but the best bet is to install a set of inline resistors; this will help absorb the spike.

You need our version. That version you have is known for problems. 3 years is pretty good though. Last year a lot of members were reporting those burning out in 2-3 months.

switchbacks are LED bulbs that will shine amber in the DRL position, but when the parking or headlamps are turned on they will "switchback" to shine white. they are bulbs that contain both amber and white LED bulbs that sense the light function and adjust accordingly.

Yup, one of mine went out just before winter after a year and a half. I just order a new set plus of punch of other LEDs from JW. Got the shipping notification monday night. Can't wait to get 'em!
