Engine Mount/maggie, hood question
Does anyone know if you can get shorter engine mounts, and then fit a maggie under some of the non maggie, but taller than stock hoods. For example, the MCM excractor hood, but not the maggie version. If you can drop the engine 1/2 inch, would that work??

Maybe...but remember that your exhaust, and oil pan will hang lower. Does the cross member under the engine allow for 1/2 inch? I've never looked. I would also wonder about alignment issues with the shaft between the engine and transmission and any cross members between the two. Like I've said, I have never looked under the car to inspect this but it is some other things you may have to look at.
