Default Key FOB

Neither FOB worked when I bought the car last November. Just programmed one FOB through the DIC, said FOB learned but it still does not work. Tried the short version as well, still inop.
Why would the DIC say learned and it still does not work. New battery in FOB.
Thanks

Maybe the fob is bad. Try programming the other fob. Open the fobs up and look for cracks in the soldering. Hopefully your receiver isn't bad, but that could be too.

Oh, try disconnecting your car battery for 10 minutes and then reprogramming.

Did you check the fuses. If you have the owners manual, page 5-88. If not , look here.

I just read another thread about problems with the fob. He had a low battery and could not program the fob after charging. He disconnected the battery for a few minutes, reconnected it , and then he was able to program the fobs. Just a thought.
