I have a no name portable compressor for my 00 coupe that i bought on ebay for about 15 bucks. Its ok, but i was wondering what make or kind of portable 12v compressors do you all carry on your c5s in the event of a flat? As always thanks in advance. Ken
I've got a 300psi portable Craftsman, it fits nicely in my storage compartment below the disc changer. I've never had to use it but I think it will be fine for emergencies. I also carry some tire plugs in my emergency tool bag just in case.

I carry a the same type compressor in my car that I carry on my motorcycle. I purchased a small, inexpensive, unit from WalMart then modified it by removing the plastic case that surrounds the compressor unit itself. Without the protective plastic case, the unit is about the size of your fist, and so stores about anywhere. Of course the case is there for a purpose, and when you USE IT you have to be CAREFUL to avoid the cylinder head that gets HOT, and the spinning blades of the cooling fan.
But other than the potential for burns and cuts, it works well and takes up very little room.
I also carry a tire plug kit just in case it is not a slow leak. So far (knock on wood) I have not had to use the kit.
Although I have runflats, I carry a small HF compressor for emergencies, haven't had to use it but it's there. This guy is fairly small and fits in with the CD deck or in the side pockets easily on a coupe http://www.harborfreight.com/12-volt...ssor-4077.html
