Has anyone ever had a bid accepted from Salvage world?
Is it just another scam site that want to hold on to your money.
Dale be real carfull these type of Company's do not OWN any of these cars you are sending them the money to have the chance to win the vehicle !! In other words if you are high bidder at SALVAGE WORLD on say a c5 vett they get a deposit from you and then they persue the car at the salvage yard if they are then not high bidder at the salvage yard you do not get the car !! Not only that its real hard to get your money back they try to get you to keep bidding on other cars and some of these type of company's charge you a % every time they bid on the car for you .
You are also buying a car in unknown condition it may say runs and drives but that does not mean the tranny is not slipping or the engine does not have a noise
That's what I thought, but I'm looking for a project and if it's cheap enough, there would be room to play with. I'm not looking to resale for profit. Basically the same as buying a car via Ebay.
Yeah, i just read the part on there site where they charge you 30% of your bid regardless if you win or not. Always someone out to take your hard earned money. What ever happened to honest work for honest pay? I'm in no hurry. I have my C6 to drive but sold my C5 and want to reinvest it into another C5, but a project. my old C5 was in too good of a condition for what I want to do. Plus by selling it and reinvesting it again my money will go further.

Not at all like buying a car on eBay. At least there you can see detailed pictures of the car and deal with a known quantity of seller (#%positive feedback)
Ebay is great if you know what you are doing, and you do your due diligence.
check out http://www.salvagezone.com/ . They have some nice cars. No bidding required. They own all the vehicles and you can go check out any vehicle at their lot. No hidden fees and no bidding required.
