Default Exhaust checklist

I swear this isn't just another which exhaust is better thread. It's been awhile since I've treated the mod bug on the z06 so I want to get it right. I'm thinking corsa or BB setups but had some questions
My 02 has American Racing Lt's, no cats mated to the stock Ti exhaust. No heads or cam work yet but I want to improve the sound a bit more. in addition to some opinions on which brand of exhaust will compliment my setup the best, I am primarily concerned about fitment issues.
Looking at used sets, are there any that will need extra cutting or just plain won't fit due to my header brand or without cats? What about pipe size? I see exhausts with 2.5, 3.5, etc. Bottom line, what do I need to look for? I would hate to pop the money only to find it wouldn't work on my setup.

Thanks!

You stated that your present exhaust is mounted to stock Ti cat back.
As long as the ti system hasn't been altered, in lenth both after market c/back systems that you mentioned & most others will bolt up w/out any problems.

Yea my headers bolted right up to the Ti so hopefully there won't be an issue. Talks of xpipe and sizes worry me that ill buy something that won't fit!

You have a pretty good combination right now, but if you want to change anyway, try and keep the Ti catbacks, as someday, you might want to return. Regarding after market catbacks, I've had 3 different sets, and I'd recommend listening to GHLs before making your decision. Billy Boat and Corsa are both great brands, but from the ones I've heard, I like the GHLs the best, and I have Corsa Pace Cars!

Stock Ti's or GHL Bullets are the best for sound IMO.

Add Electric cutouts. They are adjustable. You can just tap switch quickly, which will open the butterfly valve just a tiny, tiny bit, and it will be louder and deeper but won't sound like cutouts, or you can open it fully for a truly wild sound. Then, you get to go back to no drone, stock sounding highway cruise since you have the TI's. JMO. Did it on my C5Z, and wish I had done it on my c6 instead of going with a muffler system.
