Default Exhaust?

This is my first attempt to start a thread and upload a pic, so hopefully this works.
I bought my car from a dealer and as I work on the car and upgrade things I constantly run into mods already made. One of my todo list is to upgrade exhaust, but I don;t want to chage out something that is good. I do want some headers and x cross pipes. Can anybody tell what this currect exhaust is? I don't believe it is stock, maybe some kind of route 66?

It's made by B&B, could be a Route 66 or another of their offerings. If it is slightly louder than stock, it is probably the Route 66 - I had that exhaust on my '00 and loved it.

That is definately the quad oval tips from B&B. If the mufflers are about the size of the stock mufflers, it's the Route 66 system. If the mufflers are about half the size of the stock mufflers, it's the louder PRT system.

looks exactly like the B&B route 66 system on my 04 ce convertible. really tough to be exact based upon the picture you provided (no criticism intended, just a bit far away and without pictures of the whole system).

For me exhaust questions are really money questions...like what can I afford. I know I want ARH ceramic headers, a quality x-pipe with Random Tech street cats, and a Magnaflow 16732 catback. The Magnaflow, so far, is the only piece I have found reasonably priced. So for now my exhaust will have to exit via the Chevy stuff.

I have the same on my vert. They are most likely B&B Rt.66 quad oval tips, as others have stated. They may be the PRTs, check the size of the muffler for that. Compact mufflers mean its a PRT system.

I am eventually going to go with ARH headers so I am keeping the exhaust instead of changing out to Bullets, because it will be significantly louder with the headers, so I have been told.

Default BB route 66

Thanks for the feedback gang! They do have the large full mufflers. I am happy with the sound. I will be going after headers some day, good to know the sound may increase a little. That seems perfect. How hard is the install of AHR headers? Are they bolt on? I have looked around some and want something I can do in the garage. I am very particular of outside work being done, this car is prestine and I don't want any surprise damage or scratches.

That is.............one less mod you need to make.

I agree with the others......B&B. Nice!

There definatley a "bolt on" modification. I personally am going to have the headers installed when I decide to do them. Most likely will wait for a special pricing on purchase/installation or something like that. I like to do DIY stuff, but headers may be a stretch, seems like a lot of work.

Maybe someone who has had first hand experience installing them will chime in?
