Blech! I have a Silver Z06 and with the red markers, it just looks very cheesy and cheap. I was looking for something that I can put in their place...like a silver piece of plastic that will be flush, but I can't find anything. Sure, I can color match and paint them, but what I want is a clean flush look. Any suggestions?
Na...not looking for a tint look. But rather a flush, clean, OEM look. I want them to be the same color as the car...so that they are almost invisible. To me, those markers are just hideous looking.
WHEN WILL THE STUPID LEOS START ENFORCING THE LAW???
WHEN WILL WE STOP MODS THAT COMPROMISE SAFETY FOR LOOKS?
Here are the FACTS:
Side marker lights and reflectors are used to increase the visibility of vehicles in low light or darkness. Side marker lighting requirements are regulated under the Department of Transportation's (DOT) Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards.
Regulated Vehicles
All trucks, trailers, passenger vehicles and buses must be equipped with front and rear side marker devices. Vehicles 30 feet or longer must also have intermediate side markers. Additionally, side marker lights and reflectors must be permanently mounted and in operating order at all times.
Location
One red lamp and one red reflex reflector must be mounted on each side of the rear of all regulated vehicles. One amber lamp and one amber reflector are also required on each side of the front of all vehicles. Vehicles 30 feet or more in length must also have one amber lamp and one amber reflector located on each side, midway between the front and rear side markers.

Coming to the Corvette world recently from the HD world, I have seen something at many of the Bike Rallys that might fit with what you want. They are flush mount LEDs that are not visible when off, but light up when activated. Not sure what sizes are available?? I will post the link and try and post the pics - never tried posting pics in link before - link: http://www.nativecustombaggers.com/i...aillights.html
You could put on clear ones until you have time to get a body person to remove them completely if that is your ultimate goal. I agree the red ones are out of place.
