For the time and bother, your better off just getting a new one for 20-30 bucks, the adhesive is a pain to get off, I used googone and alot of rubbing, a hair dryer will help soften! GL

take a wire brush and get all that double sided tape off. Then wash it good. Then take your fingers/hand and roll off the tape on the car. Then I used mean Green and cleaned the area really well. Then I used some dawn dish soap and cleaned off the area again. then rinse/wipe the area with clean water to get all the soap off.

I used scotch weather resistant double sided tape and put it on the emblem. It's a pain to get it on the emblem as you have to put it on the emblem and then cut the excess off. But it's doable just be patient. I used a carpenters blade/utility knife.

Then put the emblem back on the car pressing it with your hand. Of course take the tape cover off first

I replaced the back so I was able to then lay a towel on the emblem and then put 2 of my FSMs on it to hold it in place good until it set up. I left it overnight.

Then I used some meguiars quick detailer to get my shine back until I wax again.

Now go take a drive come back and have a beer. It's a thirty minute job.

I also used my grinding wheel with a wire wheel to get the tape off the emblem, but if you do this be careful or you'll grind your emblem.

3M double sided tape will work well to reattach the emblem. Just be sure you clean all the old stuff off both the emblem and the car.

Front nose emblems have two plastic/rubber tabs that go in the holes on the nose on the car. The rear/trunk lid emblems do not have the tabs but are the exact same size..so you could use them on the fronts if desired. Plus they are less expensive that tabbed ones.

If you get new ones I would go with the ones for the back and forget the tabs.

$40.00 shipped is a good price for brand new.

That I know as I had my front emblem off already. It's the nomenclature that threw me off. I usually referred to anything like them as locator pins.

No harm done

And yes, the rear emblem is a hell of a lot cheaper then the nose emblem.
As long as you locate it properly for front end use the "rubber tabs" are not really needed.
