My ZO6 was making some noise in the rear end, having had several vettes I knew it was the differential clutch plates. I originally changed the oil through my local chevy dealership with GM oil but the noise was still there. I read a recent Tech Nerd letter in Corvette Magazine and they recommended using Amsoil products. There stuff works! I've only driven it a few times since the change and its a lot quieter.
it isn't typically the clutch plates that cause the noise. It's usually the gears. I've got two vettes and three diffs between them. Amsoil, Redline and Royal Purple definitely make some top notch stuff though.

Whatever it was I'm just glad it worked. I guess its true you get what you paid for. Its a little more cost but well worth it.

Really not that expensive and I'm happy to get AMSOIL at dealer wholesale, about 25% below retail for all forum members via the AMSOIL Preferred Customer Program. Drop me a PM if interested.
