185K on anything is WAY TOO MUCH for $10K. Bet it would take $10K to make it decent.
Could be a good parts car for $3-4K
Actually that about says it all, cause you can pour $10K in most any C5 regardless of mileage or year model.
If the car is what you want and like...go for it! If you go in knowing it may need more later on, well you won't be surprized and you'll still love your car.

Who is to say how may miles the car will go; 200K-300K-500K....
Point is that there are a lot of parts that may be at (or beyond) their useful life......Vette parts are relatively inexpensive (think
Ferrari) and if you are a good wrench, that will be your outlay....If however, you have to pay for repairs..... probably not such a good deal...
But who am I to talk...my Z71 has 187,000 on the clock..
If my Vette had 185k miles on it I would take $10k for it, but that's because it would be in perfect condition still.
But, if you are looking at someones piece of crap that was never maintained or cared for, then you might wanna pass.
So many speculators.... How can anyone make an informed decision with the ifo thats been given? Think about this: Suppose the engine was replaced and only has 50k miles on it, suppose the tranny was rebuilt a few years back? Suppose the shocks and suspension bushings have been replaced? The obvious things like the alternator, starter, battery, brakes etc have been addressed onece or more..... I would say sure $10k would be a negotiable figure, but we need more information to say "absolutley not" .... or "pass"...... who can say for sure?
if it wasn't maintained well, it probaly would not have made it to 185k, JMO.
You can get a good feel how the car looks on the inside to get an idea how well it was maintained.
