I like the BSM, plus it does add a little protection against those people that think they need to park right next to you in the parkinglot even when you go out of your way to park far away from the building where there are lots of empty spaces,

My car came without and I'm grateful. But......for protecting the doors, they are the right length....however, the car, and the side moldings are so low that they don't protect against much.
If they were just about half as long, they would actually serve some styling purpose that kind of works.
So...given their questionable value for protection and their zero-value for styling.....I say "TAKE 'EM OFF".....and use them to hold your bonsai or tomatoes up.
Wonder if anyone ever insisted on BSM be removed by the dealer who originally orderd the RPO before they'd buy the car, and be credited. What gets me is the price of the 'option' doubled in 03 and they still sold more of em that yr than before.
