Stripe Removal?
I am thinking of switching my vinyl stripes this year to a new layout.
What is the best way without damaging the clear coat? Is there a special chemical that may help? I have heard that heat may be good too.

Did you get those from Vette Stripes? If so, give Mike a call and ask him - he can tell you what would work best to remove the stripes.

I did mine in the sun...just let the car heat up on a sunny day and just start at a corner and begin pulling...the key is to pull extremely slow, you'll see once you start. when you have a large section up and off the paint grab with both hands and exert force evenly and SLOWLY.

the folks that installed mine said to use a hair dryer or heat gun... if they've been on a while you could have some ghost stripes where the paint has faded differently because part of it was protected...
