Default P0300 Code Only When Starting??

When I start the Z (Have not been driving it yet) it sounds like it misfires/backfires once or twice then runs fine. I took it out and drove it about a mile after clearing the P0300 code and it runs fine and no codes. The only change was new plug wires, plugs, and a venon II last fall after I stopped driving the car. I have checked the plug wires--they all seem connected. Should I check the gap--iridium plugs? Thanks

Finally started driving the Z today. Now it sounds like it misfiring most of the time. Also throws P0300 code in history and current. Any thoughts--all plugs wires connected and I am now checking all the plugs and gap. Is there anyway to tell which side the misfire is on by listening or feeling the exhaust coming out of the mufflers?

Pulled the plugs. Somehow when I was replacing one of the plugs I bent the tip so the ground electrode was bent. It was bent so much that the center electrode was almost touching it. Don't ask me how it happened--don't know. Regaped it and checked the rest of the plugs and their gap--another one was .064---the misfire is gone. Always something simple. I must have been very tired when I replaced these plugs or very cold last winter--I need some excuse.
