I hope its just your MC.
But,
Let me ask,, for MY knowledge..... When I was building another car many years ago I was told very clearly that a lightweight flywheel was a bad idea. It was a long time ago and I don't remember all the specifics.
I don't want your thread to get hijacked but I did want to just bring it up in case there were good reasons to not spend money on the flywheel.
actually after I read your post i went outside to take a look and posted back that i couldnt find any evidence of leaking.
i am still going to replace the master first. just in case. does it have to be real high in the air or can just the drivers side be up off of the ground?
Just make it to where youre in a comfortable working position which wont be easy anyway..... You will be doing evrything from the top and inside the car, so having the car real high isnt real important.
Not all needs to be done from the top. If you take off the drivers front wheel and the little cover that goes from the inner fender/under the car you can get to the MC from that way alot easier. I don't have pics of exactly what i'm talking about but maybe somebody will. There is a small access panel on the drivers side that allows you to see the MC and line and have easy access to it from there.

Just a quick update, I swapped out the master this weekend. (it was interesting to see made in Mexico stamped on the new master from GM but whatever) Immediatly, the clutch had pressure and would return back to the top. I pushed the clutch maybe 50 times to the floor and each time it was firm and would spring back to the top like normal. Only twice did the fluid turn dark and need to be replaced in the resevoir. With the brake off if I push the clutch in the car rolls back and then stops if i let out so i know it is working. My only question now has to be, is the throwout bearing/pressure plate supposed to squeak?
