just dropped my batteryminder on garage floor . it looks fine but i wondered if you would think it would function properly . i don't want to damage battery or any other electrical component . shall i hook it up and see what happens ?? . .peace and thank you ......ps . would like to improve looks and cleanibility [think i invented a word] of garage floor . any thoughts greatly appreciated , especially WHAT NOT TO DO . . .peace

If you are really worried about the unit being damaged and you happen to have a riding mower, try it on that battery first. That way no chance of damage to the Vette's electrical system.
As to your question about the garage floor: I put an epoxy finish on my floor, and I love it -- except for one thing. If the floor is cold and we get one of those gawdaful humid weather systems up from the southland, my floor sweats and actually gets wet (I'm in central Pennsylvania). I hate it, and that super moisture can't be good for my 'Vette. Maybe a fan or dehumidifier would help...
Other than that I love the epoxy finish: it's very durable and cleans easily. Got the kit at Lowes, followed the directions to a tee, and it turned out well.

While it's hooked up to the battery, why don't you just check the voltage that it's giving out with a multimeter. The important thing is to check that it doesn't overcharge especially while it's in maintenance charge mode.
