Default Need help picking cam any ideas!?

I have a 99 c5. 6speed, tsp longtubes, corsa x pipe, corsa pro touring exhaust, and Donaldson blacking intake. I am looking for the most aggressive cam I can use as my DD and run on stock heads. I like the torquer v3 and the magic stick v4 but il take any advice I can get also keep budget in mind which isn't huge so I'm just doing a cam only upgrade. Any cam suggestions that meet those specs would be great!

Regardless of which cam you end up with, the most important thing is a quality tune. This is really important with a big cam. One thing to think about is what you're doing the cam for. If you want a performance improvement, you don't need to go really big. If you want a mean sound, and don't mind the constant stink, cats, or not, than go for the big overlap cam. Personally I believe you'd get more happiness with a "Tony Mamo" size cam. 224-228, with around .575 lift, and on 112-114, depending on how much lope you want. It'll give you more TQ in your powerband where you use it most.

XR281HR Comp cam: 228/230 duration, 571/573 lift, 112 LSA. Great cam for power and has a nice little rumble to it also. I love mine!!

I think the biggest you should go on stock gears is a mid 230's on a .590 lift.

I just took a look at the torquer v2 and like what I see. As far as getting a good tune I have a guy that's damn good. As long as the cam produces alot of tq from 1500 to 6500 I'm happy. Having a stock feeling big cammed car is more of a guy just compensating for some down low bs in traffic so I'm aware itl feel different but if the gains are worth it than I don't care ha.
