Do I have a CAI?
I have had my car for a little over a year and knew I had a Fram Air Hog filter but I "thought" the air box was made by Fram also, but discovered Fram does not even make one.
The air box does not look like the stock ones I remember (been a while since I looked at a stock one!) I don't remember the "Pull to service filter"
lettering. I know the coupler is a smooth one but that could be bought by itself. There are 2 large oblong holes in the front of the box and several small drilled ones on the sides. It looks like to me I have just a modified stock one but I could be wrong. Car is a 98 A4.
