I hear ya! I too suffer fron CI (corvette insanity). I can't stand to drive it if its dirty... I must look like a shmuck out in the parking lot after work or at a mall wiping off stuff before I'll drive it. 
I spend way too much time watching it from my store window. Some days I can't get a "good" parking spot at work, so I'll look and look until I see one open, then lock my store and run out and move it. I'm sure the rest of the shop owners think I'm nuts.
Hopefully, I'll never get tired of keeping it beautiful.

Insanity - Though I am similar 
Everytime I put 'er in the garage, I stick the cover on just to keep dust off...even if I'm going to take the car out again a little later in the same day lol.

I have owned my 01 NBM coupe for 4 months now. I drive it everyday 10 miles to work, so it cannot be accused of being a garage or show queen. It is 10 years old and has a number of minor nicks and scratches.
But....
I still can't go 3 days without cleaning it inside and out.
I carry a bottle of spray detailer in the back just in case a bird decides to bombardier it while at work.
I check on it twice a day from a window at work (on the other side of the building from my desk).
I am stocking up on micro fiber polishing towels just in case.
I carry multiple micro fiber towels in the car at all times for different parts of the car (brake dust gets its own towel, etc.)
I am afraid to buy nice chrome wheels for fear of it getting worse.
Is this Addiction or Insanity?
