Default insulation kit

mad vette and exotic vette have these insulation kits. they look like the exact same material, so the only differnece should be in the fit and completeness of the kit. i was wondering which one is better. any thoughts?

The one I got from exotic was labeled poorly, and was far from a comprehensive package. I ended up doing a lot of patch work/filling with the extra material supplied.
Add in slow shipping and plenty of comments from the supplier about how wonderful he is and I'm not impressed.

thanks. i saw the thread for mad vette and everyone who got a kit seemed to be really happy with it. it just took forever for them to get it.

i guess if i go with a kit it would be mad vette.

i take it that Reflex is basically the same material? how much did you need? did you use a spray adhesive or tape? its got to be cheaper than a kit right?

I think the material is actually 'reflectix' which is a radiant heat barrier.

I forget how much I needed but I know it was a LOT less than the kit. I used aluminum tape to put it all down. That way it is easy to come up if I have/want to remove it. Pretty easy job, even if it isn't a precut kit. It was a puzzle, that made it fun!
