Most here know the valve springs are a weak point in the 2002~2003 LS6. Most who know have probably already upgraded the valve springs to prevent a spring failure.
So I was wondering if anyone has experienced, or has heard of failures in the stock push rods or stock rocker arms.
If the stock cam is used, is it a waste of money to upgrade the push rods and/or rocker arms along with the valve springs if the car has no track use and is just driven hard occasionally on the street?
I'm looking for realistic logic to upgrade beyond the valve springs if the stock cam is used. Thoughts or advice ... ???

Upgrade the valvesprings, yes. Rocker arms and push rods, dont have to. This is just my opinion

Never heard of anyone having problems with rods or rockers on a stock cam. In fact, it seems that many with aftermarket cam/springs/rods are still running the stock rockers.

I think there was a TSB on the rocker arms losing needle bearings for just the 2001 LS6, but I believe the problem was corrected before 2002+ production.
Guess I'll checkout my stock pushrods for any bends when I tear it apart and decide from there on an upgrade. Sounds like the stock components (except springs) should be OK for the stock cam.
Anyone else have inputs? ... if so, I'd still like to hear them.

I have heard on many occasions that the stock rocker arms are a decent little rocker arms. I have ran them on both of my modded cars and never had one issue.
The stock push rods are fine if you are upgrading just your valve springs, but if you are doing a cam swap or more, might as well spend an extra $120.
