I like the looks of the recessed lights better, but if you like them flush, then keep them that way regardless of what anyone says. You can always easily take them back to stock if you change your mind.

I had mine flush until I bought my Black Cherry Halos. They didn't look right flush.
Do what YOU like.

Pics of those dark cherry halo's? Sound nice...
Where'd you get them? Thanks.

Flush mount is the way to go (at least on black C5's)
Not having it flush makes our cars look more outdated and similar to the C4 generation.
However, depending on your exterior mods, the color of your car, your taste, etc,...stock/recessed may look better.
It's just a matter of personal preference.

GTO spares and M&H 26/4.5/17s up front. A friend of give me a killer deal on the 17x8.5s. I got a new pair of M/T 275/40-17 DRs. I'm waiting on a 3600 yank and a up graded trans right now. Going to hit it with a 100-shot.

Wanna see some other flush tail lights?
Really like flush mount lights? Be just like all the other cars on the road and do it. But a real sports car stands out from the crowd as the Corvette was meant to do. The bug-eye look of flush mount Vette lights is "awkward" looking.
Obviously I'm not a fan.

I like them both ways but it would be nice not to have all the dust that collects there.

I'll back up Rootpooty and say that it completes the butt of a C5. The stock recessed look like a big black head zit that needs to be popped!

Obviously...
You're entitled to your opinion and I asked for it but comparing flush mount stock tail lights on a Vette to gay upgraded LED tail lights on a little import station wagon or Prius is, well...asinine.

That's part of what I love about this forum...strong opinions (you
), big ego's and a healthy supply of haters. Makes for an interesting time.
Thanks for chiming in. I'll make sure to post pics after I add the neon light kits and my DUB 22"s. You're gonna LOVE it!

LOL! I'm not a hater, actually. Strong opinion, yes. But definitely not a hater.
Ego? Yeah, but I put it in the trunk. Good thing Vettes have big trunks.

Got them from Corvette Enhancements
If I were to do it again I'd send them straight to RadioFlyer for his superbright LED upgrade. They are a little difficult to see in bright daylight.

Called you "strong opinion"...not a ego maniac or hater!
Unfortunately my ego doesn't fit in the trunk. Working on downsizing.

I'm set to flush, but I'm curious as to what this looks like.
